Miley Came Here Like A Wrecking Ball

After the WTF moment at the VMA’s, twerk-tastic Miley Cyrus (@MileyCyrus) has decided to calm the F down and release an overly sincere and stirring second single Wrecking Ball. The power pop ballad with emotionally tortured vocals by Cyrus is the broken hearted equivalent to the ridiculously hedonistic We Can’t Stop, dramatically challenged but I’m thankful for the fact it reminds me that once Miley Cyrus could sing.

Wrecking Ball is an over-the-top Dr. Luke & co produced monster with fairly familiar lyrical content, but at the same time as charming with lingering moments of longing bliss from Bangerz. Miley might be the ratchet twerk-obsessed teen-dult with way too much time on instagram, but Wrecking Ball reminds me too fondly of The Climb
